Please follow the instructions carefully. If you are unsure about what to do, do nothing and give us a call - we'll be only too happy to talk you through the process.
Requirements:
A PC running Windows 98SE/ME/2000/NT/XP/KP/WALKERS
A cable to connect from a free RS232 port on the computer to the 9 pin DEE connector on the DP226 or DP224.
Instructions:
Copy the file UPGRDXTA to an empty or new directory.
Unzip it: this will cause it to extract 7files - the latest binary files of software (covering DP428, DP224, DP226, DP6i, DP324 and DP6i) and an exe file. Running the exe file will start the loader program.
Note that for a DP6i, the interface MUST be set to Master
RS232 mode ID 1 at the same speed as the loader running
on the PC (interface numbers 00, 02, or 04, for 38k4, 19k2
or 9600 baud respectively). For the DP428, DP224, DP226
and DP324, the interface must similarly be set to Master
on RS232 at the correct baud rate.
For the Series 2 products, the RS232 interface is AUTOMATICALLY CONFIGURED TO RUN AT 38400 BAUD.
Warning! Close any open programs. Any interruptions, internal or external during the download process can cause the unit to become inoperable (including a reattempt at download).
