XTA Goes Posh

Peterborough-based Pearce Hire’s have had a smashing time with their XTA inventory of late.
The company’s Audio Manager, Andy White has been praising XTA’s backup facilities, with the example of a unit that sustained considerable damage while out on-the-road.
“One of the DP226s was out on dry hire and the client managed to drop a very heavy loudspeaker on it, which ended up with the unit being very bent,” he says. “But the XTA service department had it back to us within a week. They’ve provided us with excellent service.”
Forming a vital part of inventory, XTA equipment is playing a key role in the company’s ever-increasing portfolio of live events. |
Three years ago Pearce Hire invested in a brace of DP226s, since when four more DP226s, eight DP224s and 10 GQ600s have been added.
“The big change came when we changed our loudspeaker systems to L-Acoustics,” continues Andy White. “We needed digital control and we’d had good experiences with the DP226s. Overall the XTA units were much more suited to what we are doing.”
The company services a wide range of events, from classical and rock concerts to festivals, exhibitions, corporate conferences, parties and awards events. The company also does equipment dry hire, so it’s essential that its audio processing equipment is versatile, reliable and of ultra high quality. |
“Audio-wise, XTA is one of the best brands on the market,” Andy continues. “We saw a huge improvement in quality when we moved over to XTA gear. They’re very rider-friendly for dry hires, can cope with any situation and are also extremely reliable.”
He also confirmed further good news for Pearce Hire clients in that the company will be “seriously looking at the new DP428 audio management system very soon.” |
